AT THE BOX OFFICE – July 17, 2015

MINIONS enters week 2 strong after a record-breaking opening, but Marvel is coming to the Box Office table with ANT-MAN, and Marvel can never be under estimated. All eyes are on ANT-MAN to see if Marvel’s success streak continues. You know the pundits are just waiting like vultures for them to have their first failure, this is unlikable to be that however they do face stiff competition from holdover MINIONS.

R-Rated comedies come back in a big way this weekend with the well-reviewed TRAINWRECK starring Amy Schumer and directed by Judd Apatow. It’s from Universal whose summer has been spectacular thanks to JURASSIC WORLD and MINIONS not to mention early year hits FURIOUS 7 and FIFTY SHADES OF GREY.  So far, it’s Universal’s year to shine.
